Reservoir Dogs (1992)
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Four Rooms (1995)
Jackie Brown (1997)
Kill Bill - volume 1 (2003)
Kill Bill - volume 2 (2004)
Sin City (2005)
Death Proof (2007)
Inglourious Basterds (2009)

Rules:
We'll vote for one film in each round. The film with the biggest total of votes will be eliminated.
In case of a tie, the film with the biggest amount of previous votes is eliminated. In case of a new tie, I'll decide.
You can edit your vote if no other forumer has voted after your initial vote.
Each round will last 24 hours+.

Well, before it starts, a question: should I include Sin City (2005), in which he is only "special guest director" ?
My intention is not to include it, as it's clearly a Frank Miller and (a bit less) Robert Rodriguez film and as the list is short and a big "object" like Sin City may disturb it far too much.

I'm fine with including it, but it'll be the one I vote for next round.

Aaah, a Tarantino survivor from the man who said he wanted to discourage a series of film survivors! Smiley

Tarantino's a charming, clever director, even if he is totally unoriginal.

I already know who my survivor is, so... Eliminate Death Proof

Did I really say that ?! Grin
It's a very, very short one.... Grin

Wait a bit: what do you think I should do with Sin City ?

Hans and Edu's opinons are "requested" too, before I officially open this survivor.

Sure, put Sin City in as well. I'll vote it off next round with Magic, but I'm sure others have different opinions.

I have no problems if you want to include Sin City Smiley

Well, looking at this list i only really liked Kill Bill 2 and Inglourious Basterds. Reservoir dogs was ok too (mainly because i like both Roth and Buscemi).

The rest are crap Tongue Grin

OK, Sin City is in. But I agree it should go early.

For the moment, I give
Four Rooms
a point.

Edu, we really don't have the same tastes in cinema matters... Grin
How could you vote for Pulp Fiction in round nr.1 !

Because Jackie Brown, Sin city, Four Rooms and Death Proof are probably going to go first and frankly i don't have the inclination of trying to save any of them. But i know that the massively overrated Pulp Fiction, a movie which bored me to death is a strong contender even for the win here and i want to start, even if it's a lone crusade, to see if i can oust it.

My luck will probably be the same as with Gladiator Tongue Grin

It seems as if many of you were disappointed by Death Proof and a bit angry... Grin
You're so right !

Well, before Sin City, I want first to kill

Four Rooms

(only a quarter of a movie for Tarantino here Tongue)

Well, before Sin City, I really think

Inglourious Basterds

should go. The story wasn't terrific. The change of levels and the apparent disorder are HUGELY less well-managed than in Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill.
It seems Brad Pitt is here just to boost earnings.
And there is this silly little French actress that I hate... Tongue
It's globally very disappointing.

I also found it morally repugnant. It seems a little disturbing that Tarantino's answer to the Holocaust is "killin' Nat-zees" at a vast scale, even if the film is modeled after spaghetti Westerns. It turns the audience into murderers themselves, and that wasn't Tarantino's goal. It doesn't deserve to go far, but I'll let Sin City go first.
