In both of your maps, how does Perot beat out a pro-life (albeit, fake at that) Republican in Utah with not just 30% of the vote, but more?

I'm thinking they just shifted something like 8% of the Bush and 9% of the Clinton vote across the board to Perot.  At least, that's what I did with my map below.  292-166-80

Bush/Quayle only got 43 percent of the vote in 92. If Perot has a good national campaign, I imagine in Utah he could take another 5 from Bush, 8 from Clinton, 2 from Gritz.

Still, why would Perot get above average results for him in Utah? I'd think it'd be Montana or Nevada, but in your map, his highest percentage apparently is in Utah! The great Mormon and socially Conservative capital of the world!
