Fluid in my knees!

I'm going to have to have fluid drained from my knees soon.  It's apparently pretty painful and I'm reallllly nervous about it.  Has anyone else ever had this done?

Once every 3 months..........it's like your knee coming out through the needle.....I've had surgeries that would make you faint, but nothing feels like that.

God no......they drain the fluid and shoot me with cortizone......same needle........it sucks......suck it up.

Hey!!!  Why are you coming to GA?  There's nothing much here, you should stay up north!  But if you want, I would accept any encouraging words to help get me through this difficult time.  Also, if you have any connections to any serious narcotics that could help me a lot more than words can comfort, I'll take that too.

Oh, and the date....I don't know that yet.  I'm waiting until after the new year.

Surgical draining is never anything other than unpleasant, sorry. Best attitude is just to accept that it's better out than in.

That doesn't sound fun.  I've never had to have it done, and my knees aren't the best, mainly due to my weight.  I'll be praying for you, brother!!  Hang in there.  By the way, I would be freaking out like you are, in something like this I would be acting like a bonafide sissy!!!  They would have to not only sedate me, but strap me down tight as the doctor might have a footprint in his face or quite possibly farther south.

Gramps, I gotta give you respect for this... there's no way I'd ever do this without something.  People touching my knees makes me uncomfortable alone... There's no way I could ever do this without anesthesic.

Okay, so new update!  The whole fluid thing was a self diagnosis.  Apparently, I wouldn't make a very good doctor because I def do NOT have fluid in my knees.  My doc didn't know what was going on with them and so I'm now referred to an orthopedist....appointment is Wednesday.

But.....one thing he did tell me was that I have high blood pressure, which is scary since I'm not overweight and I eat relatively healthy (well, I splurge every now & then but whatever), however I don't exercise much at all.  And it runs in the family, so that might be a reason.

And I have this mole....right to the very left of my crotch, no kidding....that's gotten bigger and uglier over the last several months (?...I think) and I gotta get it checked by a dermotologist.

I'm falling apart; I'm a worried man.

And I'm only 27!!!!
