How does this place vote? I just learned about it looking up areas from Fallout: New Vegas. It is a location where gambling is illegal (in Nevada), and where union membership was illegal until 1960. It is also an exurb of Las Vegas and promotes itself as a Sun Belt-y community for retirees and vacation escapes. Am I correct in assume that it is hideously right wing? How much did it give Angle for those who have Nevada precinct data?

I assume NAACP vs. Alabama was the Supreme Court case that put an end to the illegalization of unions there? Makes sense based on the date you cite.

The federal government built the town in 1931 as a temporary housing development for the workers building the Hoover Dam (then called the Boulder Dam).  Alcohol and gambling were banned to remove that distraction from the workers, and unions were banned too for somewhat obvious reasons.  When the dam was finished, many of the workers decided to stay, and they finally managed to have the town incorporated in 1959.  Unions were permitted the following year, and alcohol sales in 1969.  The local residents seem to approve of the gambling ban, however, there are two casinos just outside the city limits - one in Henderson, and the other on the other side closer to the Dam (which also serves to greet entrants to Nevada from Arizona).  Boulder City also has limits on the number of people who can settle there each year.

A very reasonable regulation.

Where did you find precinct results?  I couldn't find anything on the SoS website, which admittedly was the only place I looked.

Speaking of Nevada, does anyone have the results for Las Vegas and Reno?
