If he is allowed back I'm seriously going to consider doing what I've been suggesting you all do and boycott this place.  It would be freaking ridiculous if he is allowed back.  A banning isn't some kind of "final warning" to improve ones behavior.  The hundreds of actual warnings were.  This would set a horrible precedent.

Well, you're always allowed to petition to have a banning undone.  I intend to continue muting all confirmed sock accounts of banned posters by myself if necessary; until we have a more effective administrative system.

I'll be waiting for an explanation.  As of now, it appears that he has been unmuted by Dave, but will be muted again if he receives any infraction point whatsoever for 3 months

And I agree with Deadmans post above, it's ridiculous to undo any banning..... it just opens the forum up to further manipulation.

Anyone is capable of saying that.  The idea is for someone to commit to said behavior BEFORE they've received a thousand warnings, final warnings, been banned, and come back with a fake sock account to troll, been banned again, and come back with a third account.

Muting is weird, it can be automatically removed, or it used to, under certain circumstances.  I'm not sure what the time frame is for that, but it's happened before.

Dave hasn't posted a word in the mod board for a while, I'd like to have a little communication as to what he's doing if he would like me to do the legwork.  Maybe Dave wants him to continue having the infraction points so that if he makes some slip-up, he'll be insta-muted again?  Who knows, certainly none of us.

They stay for now.  He may have wanted to keep them as I just said in my last post, to serve as some sort of second second last chance.

The last time it happened, it was after 7 days.  With Einzige, it had been 7 days yesterday.

I think what we have here is simply that the mute expired.

Ah, come on, just shut up and cut the small talk.  Everyone said you were dead. They said, "Einzige is dead", but I said "No, no.  He was my best friend.  He would've called me for the funeral." Once again, glad to see I was right.

Really.. is Einzige such a threat to the Atlas forum that he must be muted and banned at all costs?  His rhetoric can be very strong... but I've seen people punished far less for much more egregious offenses.

I am aware of the fact that many of Einzige's worst posts were deleted before I ever saw them and I can understand that moderators get bombarded with reports and what not.  But I find it very hard to trust our moderator team.  One has made it known in the moderator board that he thinks I'm mentally ill, for example.  Why should someone who says that kind of garbage be in charge of moderating this forum?  I should point out that the more recently coined moderators do a good job.  But I really think it's time that some of the old guard be flushed out and replaced.
