At the end of June the Senate decides to bring up repeal of the healthcare law.  Senate Majority Leader Howard Baker says "We need to end this law now."  Minority Leader Ted Kennedy states "If this gets repealed it will be the worst day in America.  We can't afford this to pass."  It ends up failing 51 against (including Republicans Mark Hatfield and Lowell Weicker) and 49 for the repeal.

On July 1st Governor Cuomo selects Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey as his running mate.  "I feel that Senator Kerrey is the best choice for a running mate.  He's a great war hero who was gien a Medal of Honor.  The Cuomo/Kerrey ticket will fight hard for you.  Thank you and God Bless America."

Thank you again and God Bless America."

On the final night Governor Cuomo states "Democrats, I accept your nomination for President of the United States.  If elected I will keep the curren healthcare law and keep all the current cabinet departments.  This President is the worst since Herbert Hoover.  Agin I want to thank you for your support so far.  God Bless America."
