I was browsing your website. Very very good I may say. But I was curious as to what this old building here in this picture is. It's a very interesting looking building.

Has it not been used in a long time?

No, not for 40 or 50 years I think? Clapton is a very dodgy area so there isn't the pressure to redevelop it.

I have loads of new UK urban decay pics to upload. I'll try and do that soon.
Saw tonnes and tonnes of dereliction in Openshaw in Manchester a few weeks ago. Didn't dare get out of the car though, the neighbourhood looked extremely rough! Smiley

I must commend you on your work. Smiley Now if we can only get Al to get some pictures of British coalmines. Smiley They had a humorous joke about British coalminers on the Simpons last night. Showing a little baby working in the coal mines and the father says "No you have to dig more coal". Then Lenny said "You have blood on your hands Mrs Thatcer" lol

Thank you! That's very kind. Yet more good old American hospitality! Smiley
....and that isn't a joke by the way. Having been to the US 3 times and Canada twice, I was truly amazed at how hospitable the people were. Wonderful. Europeans could certainly learn a few lessons from the US in politeness that's for sure.

My mother and grandmother raised us to be polite to everyone. Hold the door for everyone, open a car door for a lady, etc.

Most of the Pitheads got knocked down when the Pits were sealed up, but there are some old photos of most Pits, and there are still a few working ones left.

I'll find some photos tomorrow
