conversely, what would a Jim DeMint vs. Chuck Schumer election be like? Would there be historic low turnout due to a lot of people disliking both candidates?

Pryor-257
Snowe-181

Similar to 1992 and 1996.

Schumer-305
DeMint-200

Schumer wins because he is less extreme than DeMint. OH and NC would be pure tossups. Schumer wins FL because of the large number of ex-New Yorkers there Smiley Schumer would be too anti-gun to win in MT and CO. This would be a great opportunity for a Third party...
