This has been inevitable for some time. Cameron should have got rid of him as soon as emerging scandal (which is absolutely massive) began to break a while back rather than hope things would just go away because the News of the Screws friends at Scotland Yard wanted it to. Still, I suppose this is more intelligent than waiting until Coulson ends up in the dock.
