No. I just don't see how this is a big deal. Can't people just keep their guns? Hell, I don't want to go to prison for having a gun in my house when some dick was trying to break into it and I didn't have time to wait for the cops.

I would vote in favor of the Assault Weapons Ban. Assault Weapons are clearly crafted for an offensive attack whereas the only purpose to bear arms under the 2nd amendment is for the self-defense of an individual, something a simple handgun can adequately accomplish.

Exactly. What if there was a riot? ...or if the government (most likely the local government) went rogue?  (this argument probably has more validity on my side of the aisle when an R is President...especially one who listens to neocons(I basically have accepted the fact that its intellectually lazy/dishonest to call every big government/deficit conservative/pro-lifer a neocon))
