"Draft Santorum" website established. Ok, no big deal, right? Tell me this isn't a weird coincidence...

Quick. What did you do on your 23rd birthday?

I can't remember, either.

But chances are Thomas Schultz won't forget his 23rd, which is today.

Schultz spent part of his birthday sending out press releases for his new website: DraftRickSantorum.com.

Can you think of anyone else that would do that? And guess how old that person will be this year. For the record, I am not Thomas Schultz.  Tongue

Why would they need to draft Santorum? Hasn't he formed an "exploratory committee" yet?

No, he hasn't.  The hip thing to do this year is to effectively use your PAC as an exploratory committee, which makes the line between candidate and non-candidate even blurrier than in the past.  Santorum has been spending a lot of time "running for president" even though he isn't technically "running for president" yet.

Yeah but since he's been testing the water, there's no real reason to try and draft him.

It's just another way to get him some publicity. I just think the person behind it is eerily similar to someone else around here...  Tongue

Santorum's going nowhere fast. If he runs, he'll be out of the race after Iowa, at the latest.

Wasn't it stated in the article that he's tied to Santorum already?

I don't understand what Santorum has to offer or who on earth convinced him he'd be a viable candidate to win the GOP nomination.

Err, actually, if Palin is in the running, he might as well....

Yes, but I mean small candidates need genuine draft movements to make headway if and this guy is or will be (most likely the case) on his payroll it's like why waste the effort for this shindig?
