I'm all for knocking Reagan's name off of things, but I'd prefer one of them was renamed after Einzige.

Go troll somewhere else.

Do you use the same one-liners on everyone? Seriously, get some new material.

And for what purpose is this, other then a partisan attack on these noble public servents?

Meh. It was partisan hackery to rename Reagan Airport in the first place.

Was Ronald Reagan even ever president of Atlasia?

My point exactly. Glad we agree, Lief. Tongue

It was my understanding that we're supposed to be a successor state to the United States.
If that's the case, I'm not sure why the GM is basing regional numbers off of current RL numbers.

There's still a relation between the two. RL disasters hit us, as do RL crises like Egypt. "Their" history pre-2004(?).

BTW Gov, I'm not using RL economic numbers for our own. We have a different (lower, for now) unemployment rate and slightly (for now) lower GDP growth rate. I'm merely using RL numbers as a model for thing like allocating regional unemployment (i.e. higher unemployment in the Pacific; lower in the Rockies and Grain Belt) and tax revenue. FYI...

Badger, I'm no longer your Governor. Tongue

Has anyone taken into consideration the cost of changing the name for these airports?

I'd agree to the Ben-Duke proposal instead of Dulles if we keep the Mondale one instead of Reagan.

How about a Dukakis? Grin

Frankly, I'd even go for a Ford. (Gerald, not Harold Tongue)

I think we can simply have a final vote on this. There's no need of a long debate for such reform.

I already submitted an amendment.

Well, so let's put amendments to vote. In any case, discussing won't bring anything to this bill.

Before the armed guards drag me out and shoot me in the alley, I would like to say you should name something after me.

 Just sayin.

It's become clear to me, however, that many people did not get the reference.

I'm not here to understand clever references. I'm here to maximize the number of buildings with my name on it. Why else would anyone want to hold public office? Tongue

Anybody suggesting or proposing amendments to name these airports after themselves or other currently serving Atlasians might as well stop.  Any such change is entirely frivolous and as such I will not allow any such amendment to come to a vote.

I'd like to propose the following amendments:

Airport Renaming Act
1) Reagan International Airport shall henceforth be known as Mondale Colin Wixted International Airport.
2) Dulles International Airport shall henceforth be known as Arbenz Nym90 International Airport.

The following amendment was offered by Senator HappyWarrior, but was not accepted by Bgwah.

Therefore, we shall have a vote on this amendment.

Senators:  Vote aye, nay, or abstain
