I'm opposed to the amendment. Not only does it name one of the airports after an Atlasian who already has the capital named after him, I would hope we would at least pick better and more worthy people if they must be Atlasians.

Furthermore, you're completely ignoring the legislation's purpose of renaming the airports after people who were somehow connected to who the airports are already named after. You've just arbitrarily picked two Presidents.

Was Ronald Reagan even ever president of Atlasia?

My point exactly. Glad we agree, Lief. Tongue

It was my understanding that we're supposed to be a successor state to the United States.

If we're gonna rename Dulles, can we name it after me? Cheesy  I'm a long serving Diplomat, just like Dulles!

You even have similar foreign policies!

I'd agree to the Ben-Duke proposal instead of Dulles if we keep the Mondale one instead of Reagan.

Never! Tongue

Come on, you're not ready to sacrificate an Arbenz to get a Mondale ? Grin

How about a Dukakis? Grin

Frankly, I'd even go for a Ford. (Gerald, not Harold Tongue)

What did Dulles ever to do Dukakis, or Ford, or Ben, or Duke?

Dulles to Arbenz would be a wonderful change.

It's become clear to me, however, that many people did not get the reference.

If we're going to waste money by changing the names, we should at least be changing it to real Atlasians, not people who don't exist in our world. This is just playing partisan politics, and for what? It's sad something as minor as this is one of the most heated discussions for this session.

This is pre-2004, so they did exist in our world. Now, Obama National Airport might be a little odd. Wink

I would like to make a minor amendment to my bill, changing Reagan/Mondale International to the correct National.
