Anyone on this board interested in joining the Rockefeller Republican Party, the RRP, if there was one?

If there is enough interest, we could establish this party.

Please discuss.

Yes, though I fail to see how it would differ from the Great Rightwing Coalition (GRC) also known as the RPP which just elected Tmthforu.

I'm not a socialist, and I'm a big fan of the Rockefeller clan. Besides the whole "New World Order", Council on Foreign relations thing.

I don't understand why anyone could be a fan of that vile group of people.  They're like the Republican version of the Kennedys.

I prefer the Kennedys. I could probably tolerate the domestic agends more of RFK than of Nelson Rockefeller, plus the Kennedys are so much more abundant than the Rockefellers. I can only count four Rockefeller politicians including Nelson Aldrich, while the Kennedys go back to the 1910's with John Fitzgerald and JPK's dad.

Yeah, political dynasties, the beautiful people, yada yada yada. I just like political families, same with the La Follettes and such. Just an interest.

Ditto.
Although for some reason "moderate Republicans" of that era in general have always rubbed me the wrong way.

It's always interesting to see dynasties take more power than they actually do. Possibilities are the Roosevelts, Kennedys, Bushes, Rockefellers, etc. Political dynasties that never took off are the Reagans and the Lincolns.

It seems like we're talking more alternate history and election what-ifs than the party that I don't plan on joining.

Thank you for your comments, but please, get back to the purpose of this thread.

The purpose of this thread is to establish whether or not there is sufficient interest on this board to establish the Rockefeller Republican Party, the RRP.

I might, I might not.  It's an interesting thought, but I would need to be persuaded.  Being an independent is fun.

I think the current RPP is a good enough place for people with center-right views. I don't see why a dpecial party is necessary.

Plus it would be way too easy to mix up "RPP" and "RRP".
