Also... if you count Pakistani Punjabis and Indian Sikhs as one group... might want to change the title from "ethnic" to "linguistic" to avoid confusion.

Good point.

In any case, but especially if you make it "linguistic", you should change the designation from Bangladeshi to Bengali.

So, here is some actual data on the number of pupils in English schoools whose first language is not English (2008):

Panjabi 102,570
Urdu 85,250
Bengali 70,320
Gujarati 40,880
Tamil 15,460

A book called Desh Pardesh.

I'm not sure the proportion of kids who would go without learning English till school in the UK is different than that. Most Indians/Pakistanis are born in the UK now. Generally speaking 50% are UK born, 40% subcontinental, 10% Africa.

I made it Bangladeshi because the number for that is pretty precise and is available. I could have said West Bengali to make it more consistent.

Anybody's who knows about North England has surely heard of Mirpur and the circumstances as to why they had to move from their area of Azad Kashmir.
