I think the only noteworthy thing related to his tenure was a fact he was a youngest member (also succeeding oldest), but that's just an useless trivia.

I loved Senator Byrd. My family is from WV, and Byrd did alot. And I used to like Manchin, but, times change pretty fast. Goodwin might be back though..........

He was a great senator. Byrd, however, was terrible. And Manchin seems to be starting off as a liberal in the Senate, despite campaigning as a conservative. I hope that he'll be back someday.

I am a Libertarian for Byrd. I come from a WV family, and frankly, he bribed us. But, he was so established, what could we do but accept all the pork. I supported Manchin as well. I dont like him anymore though. Raese will give him hell again in 2012.
