2. Any registered voter not making any post in the Atlas fantasy elections board (the child board Voting booth not being counted) for 90 consecutive days shall be removed from the registered voters list.
3. For the purpose of this bill, a post shall consist in at least 20 words, make sense and be related to Atlasia.
4. This bill shall be effective on March 1, 2011.

I have to say I oppose this bill 100%.  We should be encouraging participation in Atlasia, not stifling it with silly requirements such as these.

This premise of this bill is a good, but the most concerning claus is the 20 words per post bit. I know it's meant to guard against someone spamming threads with empty quotes, but I'm still concerned with it.

We've also opened up the zombie voting argument again. If this bill does pass, the voting base of this game will shrink considerably, or we'll have people posting crap they have no idea about. Do we want a game a large voter bloc, many of whom are uninformed or a small voter bloc with highly informed voters?

This bill, all in all, does not encourage increased participation. Rather, it just creates many hoops to jump through to participate.

I'm steadfast in my opposition to this. Atlasia should be a game (at least in voting) that encapsulates the entire forum, whether or not they pay a lot of attention to the day-by-day political goings on of it. This would radically and needlessly shrink the voting population.

It would also be very difficult for the RG to keep track of this new requirement.

I support this 100%

It's better to have smaller number of citizens, but committed, rather than a large voter roll, filled with a dead souls, who are just coming to vote.

I am hesitant of any bill that requires a certain amount of posting in a specific forum, as it just encourages spamming on threads, especially polls, where you can make a quick and easy post.

Basically, it doesn't matter whether this bill is theoretically a good idea or not. (And in theory, I agree with its intent.)

It's simply impossible to demand that the RG do this amount of research. Imagine what kind of work it would be to actually enforce this law.

Then imagine that the RG makes a mistake....someone votes in an election that isn't entitled to, and the whole thing goes to court.

It's just asking for trouble.

Very impractical on top of other concerns.

I'll expose the motivations of my bills and the reasons I find it necessary as soon as I have some time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I think the reasons in favor of such legislation are pretty clear....and more or less accepted.

It's the extreme practical difficulty that is problematic.

Uh, lol?

Stuff like this will make Atlasia a very insular game.
