I'm hoping now that Bingaman retires so that Johnson can have the opportunity to run.

Johnson definitely would win the GOP primary. New Mexico has an open primary and a lot of Democrats/independents would cross over to vote for him. Plus, New Mexicans ( Tongue

) are more liberal than others around the country, including Republicans.
