Tell me if I got this wrong...

Orange-Federalist
- 1796 - 1808
Lime Green- Democratic Republican -  1812 - 1824
Brown- National Republican - 1828, 1896 - Present
Red-Democrats - 1832 - 1884 - Merged with Liberal Party
Purple-Whig - 1840 - 1845
Blue-Republican - 1856 - 1896 - Merged with National Republican Party
Navy-Liberal - 1856 - Present
Socialist Party of America - 1888 - Present

So now we have the Liberal Party, National Republican and Socialist Party I believe...and a random "Republican" President in 1928 which might be my fault haha

Can I have the distinct honor of starting a new one?

This one, I'd like to be based off the Union losing the war post Gettysburg. The Union also loses Washington DC (the new capital is New York), and after that they negotiate peace with the South. Lincoln wins a much narrower re-election and the peace deal is signed in 1864. Here's the map  of the current United States.

1860 - Abraham Lincoln/Andrew Johnson

The map thing is going to get too confusing with two separate nations and more states being added to be honest with you guys. Continue at your own peril haha.

*1- Grant impeached; Clay takes over, stands for election , and pulls out a narrow victory.
*2 - Everyone thought this election would help ease tensions between the two nations but in fact it makes it worse. A conflict over land in Oklahoma leads to a brief military confrontation between the two nations raising fears that a second war will break out.
