@maghabepolitico Rep. Chris Lee photo flap could have implications for redistricting in NY, several sources tell me

Any person who takes topless pictures of themselves in the bathroom mirror is below my contempt.

Albany Times Union political team seems to be echoing the above tweet

@TUCapCon: Hearing same RT @maghabepolitico: The Rep. Chris Lee photo flap could have implications for redistricting in NY, several sources tell me

Maybe, maybe not. Lee's seat is pretty much impossible to eliminate by redistricting, unique among the NY GOP seats.

Technically, I suppose you could keep Slaughter's current monstrosity intact and put Lee's home suburb in it. But I fail to see any reason why anyone should do so, besides spite.

I don't think it'd be an issue of elimination, but rather protection.

A GOP seat upstate has to go away anyway. Logic dictates that they'd rather the scandalous incumbent go than someone more valuable (like Buerkle and someone else, who are the likely losers at the moment).

"Reed takes south of 90; Buerkle gets n of 90 along lakeshore Slaughter gets Monroe "

From Syracuse all the way to Buffalo? Ugh.Certainly. If Lee resigns or does not run again, but the logical district is drawn anyways, he's somebody who could run.

Granted, Buffalo metro is still divided into 3 rather than just 2, but otherwise this isn't actually a terrible division of this territory - if you want to get a rough idea of why, click on "terrain" on Google Maps.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jack Quinn III run here, even if his house is outside the district.

Its pretty much assured that more is involved especially since craigslist dating often goes hand and hand with escort services, etc.

As a side note, anyone up on taking any bets that in their coverage that Fox News will label Lee as a Democrat?

This is such disappointing news. I had high hopes that Lee would help the Republican Party rebuild in New York, but I guess seeking pleasure was a greater priority to him than that of his family, or his responsibility to his state and nation.
