Swedish tends to dominate for some reason. My own Jewish blood comes from Austria and I know a guy from Romania. And then there's a lot of Polish, of course. And a couple of Russians.

So mine is... West Prussia (Poland) and Germany

Among my Jewish friends, many actually came from South Africa.... but a few also came from the UK (London/Manchester), but a of Polish and Russian blood in there.

Myself? I am a mixture of a Halytsianer and a Litvak. More specifically, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine seems to cover it, at least as far as the grandparents are concerned. In the case of my wife it's Ukraine and, quite incredibly, Russia proper (there is that bit of the Pale that's within actual Russian frontiers these days). And, of course, I've known all sorts, though, remarkably, I can't think of any true Western Europeans: various bits of Austria-Hungary, Georgia, Persia, etc., etc.

For the bulk, the genetic line goes back to Eastern Europe typically (east of Germany and west of The Pale), although a fair number trace back to Germany, and a couple are Sephardic (sp).  And some are from Israel, and I don't know the original origins.
