I won't let Secular Progressives™ steal another holy day. Remember to keep "Saint" in your St. Valentine's Day. Have a good one.

Stopped being a holy day in 1969, according to Wikipedia. Today's holy day is St. Cyril's and Methodius' Day.

Nah, I still say Happy Valentine's Day.  I understand the significance of the "Saint", but I give just as much credence to St Valentine as I do St Patrick or St Nicholas.  I give my credence to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, not any mortal man.

Religious observance is still permitted and should be encouraged, my good friend.

Our Protestant friends really know how to rain on a parade.

I will only say saint when referring to a place name. As I said earlier, it'd be kind of weird if I referred to the city to the east as "Paul".

You clearly haven't met that many women.... lol

Also, I love how conservatives accuse us of being cry-babies, yet they scream 'persecution' faster than anyone.

I hate this holiday. I don't consider this dreadful holiday holy.

Then again I'm single and bitter right now Sad (my last girlfriend broke with me on valentines day in 2010)

I had an anti-Valentine's Day in 2009, my single friends and I went out, had a heavy night, and just had a good time as a group.

Granted, I'm not single now... I still think it's a silly holiday... THE ultimate hallmark holiday.

A good a reason as any to be bitter on any holiday (you're like what, 14, and you had a girlfriend? Christ I gotta find me one fast then; too bad the good ones are taken).

So when you were done after the opening credits, what did you put on?

I sure as hell violated the sanctity of the holiday, if it's such a Holy Day, this past weekend... and today! Smiley  And I was actually happy to spend money on jewelry for once.  Funny the place we went didn't even have cable, but there was a DVD player and we somehow killed a few bottles of Pinot Noir.  It was fun!

I knew something was up. I typically get depressed around Valentine's Day.

I got a good discount on the heart shaped pendant I gave her.  Why do you ask?
