Clearly a very conservative primary electorate in New Mexico. If Huckabee does not run, it will be interesting to see if Palin benefits from that.

Is NM an early primary?  I suppose it must be since Forbes won it in '96.

Forbes won Arizona, not NM.  NM primary isn't until June 5th, at the very end of the process, so this poll is for entertainment purposes only.  Even if the GOP nomination race goes down to the wire, we'll surely be down to only 2 or 3 of the listed candidates by then.

Ah, so the image on Wiki (author: Kalwejt!) appears to be in error (and it's been so for nearly 2 years!).

Yes, that's wrong.  Forbes definitely won Arizona:

not NM.

This poll was done wrong.  It only asked people who identified as Republican and NM is an open primary.

With Obama unopposed, if this primary mattered in June 2012, it would be open to anybody registered to come in and vote. While the Neonazis of the NM GOP may slightly favor Palin just as the 2010 Governor race's primary polling showed Allen Weh 1-2 points ahead of Susana Martinez, the independents would likely swing it to a less offensive Johnson or Romney.

For those confused about an early NM primary, both primaries are independent of the state process and the Democrats hold their Presidential "caucus" in February while the Republicans choose June.

Seems odd to me, also Johnson pulls evenly from all the candidates, so him running or not really isn't a spoiler (minus Paul)

Hem. People, definitive source on primaries is this thread. Kalwejt epically failed on that map.
