With the 7-billion-people-day coming up on Monday, UNFPA has a nice chart where you can play through all the scenarios in the next 90 years.

http://www.7billionactions.org/data

Just go to "by country" first and then change the orange button on the bottom of the chart to 2100.

You can also change the fertility between medium, low, high and constant.

Pretty interesting for example Nigeria:

2100 with low fertility: 505 Mio. people
2100 with medium fertility: 730 Mio. people
2100 with high fertility: 1025 Mio. people
2100 with constant fertility: 2661 Mio. people

Interesting is probably the wrong word, "alarming" and "disgusting human breeding" would be better when looking at these figures ... Tongue

I don't really see Nigeria being able to survive with 505 million people. And that's the low projection for 2100.

Humans are can be surprising in their survivability, it would be reasonable to think the same thing 60 years ago when there were only 30 million people in Nigeria that they couldn't support 150 million in the future. And yet, here we are.

You need to click on "by country" first and then you have to click on the country you want.

Then it should open a small window and show you the numbers.

Otherwise you probably need to download the latest Flash Player version.
