If Trump does run and does win the nomination; how does he do against Obama?
Unemployment is at 8%.

Probably an unlikely map, but you never know. Your thoughts

This would lead to a third party canidate (looking at you Ron Paul) that would pick up enough states to throw it to the house.

In your mind, all roads lead to Ron Paul.

Fixed.

If he did win, that's what would happen.

Though you do have to understand that Reagan won with U numbers just slightly lower than that in 1984. Even if we get into the low 8s, I think Obama will do fine. I think he will be at seven nine, but I am fully prepared to be suprised. If he is at seven nine, I think he will get more or less a traditional incumbency bump and agaisnt Trump, he will look like this due to other limosine liberals and center-left celebs freaking out about their bottom line (see Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie)....perhaps a sign that Obama has realigned this country on class lines...or maybe not.

Obama hits maybe 54,0, but Trump gets help from the likes of Snooki and other 'spoiled kids' to keep Obama under 60% in wealthy urban areas. Obama wins a couple of more state in the South and West, though.

Although many of Trump's ideas are refreshingly different, I do not think he could win. He has changed parties several times, has changed his position on key issues, and has befriended the Emanuel brothers.

Sorry, I do not think he could get enough of the base's support to win the general.
