BK 4 IDS Assembly!
«
on:
March 20, 2011, 01:14:03 am »
I've often been critical of my region (and I think have probably started a half dozen court cases against it
) but the truth is, for the first time in ages, the Southeast is working right. I'd like to be a part of that, assisting my region to be even greater. Six years ago I started my Atlasian career as a Southeastern elected official and it's time for me to get back to my roots.
If elected, I will work to:
- revise assembly protocol to increase effeciency and decrease clutter
- assist governor PiT and others in the current budget creation project
- provide a closer link between the region's people and their government
- offer my insight into each bill the assembly considers
I hope I can get your vote. Thanks

I know that I was intensely critical of your record as Senator & I already have my horses in this race, but I'd still like to wish you the best of luck. This is looking to be probably the best Legislative election this region has seen yet.

Hell, I'm intensely critical of my record as Senator
I was far too inactive due to real-life things but I didn't have the common decency to just resign and make the space available for someone who would actually help the Senate stay busy. You disagreed with me on a lot of policy issues as well, I'm sure- but in Atlasia, just like in the RL United States, there's a bit of a political divide beween the federal and the regional/state. You see Democratic governors in Republican states, and vice versa; below the Federal level issues become much more pragmatic and I'm certain you and I see eye-to-eye regarding much of our regional policy.
And I know I've entered this race a bit late, yes,
but this is something I've wanted to do and have been away on spring break so I couldn't do it sooner. Assuming this election bid fails, I'll definitely be running again in the near future

To be honest, I sort of take issue with most of what's been coming out of the Senate lately. The valuable lesson I learned from my disastrous October 2009 campaign was that Atlasia
is
a game; as long as elections are interesting & both sides give as good as they get, I don't care overmuch which side wins.

I agree with you there, completely. The point is to have fun, not "win".

I wish you had said something before booth opened up because about half the IDS (including myself) already voted. Ah well, good luck.

Indeed; I wasn't planning to be away from internet access for so long. I'd still like to make an attempt at it, at any rate

Its a bitch when you people jump in so late. Especially when you have obligated all the best preferences to people already.

Which is? I haven't seen anything pass yet.
I am thinking of turning the Senate into a Gulag. Thoughts? Watching paint dry is more productive then what most of the Senators are doing. If I force them to dig for ore, then atleast they will be doing something.

Sorry, it appears the Senate is not giving out free cat gloves just yet.
