Restaurants should be able to refuse service to black patrons - the civil rights bill was apparently only meant to assist in the public sphere... the private sector should be able to discriminate against anyone they like...

He's not my favorite senator by a long shot. But like his father he's a FF for always standing behind his beliefs and never, even if he is the only vote, wavering from that.

When he was campaigning I saw him as an extremely radical Republican whose influence would make the Republican position on issues that much further from what I want. Now I have to say that for some reason, I put him on a slightly higher pedestal than the Generic Republicans. Which of course, makes him a HP.
