There are 204 persons who have received Electoral Votes in U.S. Presidential Elections.  This contest will select who among them is worthy of being the survivor. Rules are explained in full in the organization thread.

To begin with there are twelve tribes of seventeen members each.  The tribes are named after Zodiac signs, but people have been placed into them randomly, and not because of their birth sign. The first three tribes to vote will be the Aries, Taurus, and Gemini tribes. After 5 rounds, the Aries, Taurus, and Gemini tribes will be merged into the Spring tribe.  The Spring tribe will later merge with the Autumn tribe to form the Equinox tribe which will later merge with the Solstice tribe to form the final tribe.

Each survivor begins with a number of safety points and can gain safety points during the contest,  Safety points are used as the first tiebreaker if there is a tie.  The members of the Taurus tribe are, along with their safety points and the elections in which they won electoral college votes are:

Samuel Adams [1 safety point, VP (1796)]
Lloyd Bentsen [3 safety points, P (1988), VP (1988)]

Francis Blair, Jr. [1 safety point, VP (1868)] eliminated ROUND 2
John Frémont [2 safety points, P (1856)] eliminated ROUND 3
Elbridge Gerry [1 safety point, VP (1812)] eliminated ROUND 4
William Groesbeck [1 safety point, VP (1872)] eliminated ROUND 5
Joseph Lane [1 safety point, VP (1860)] eliminated ROUND 2

Henry Cabot Lodge [1 safety point, VP (1960)]
Nathaniel Macon [1 safety point, VP (1824)] eliminated ROUND 3
Thomas Marshall [2 safety points, VP (1912, 1916)]
Thomas Pinckney [1 safety point, VP (1796)] eliminated ROUND 4
James K. Polk [2 safety points, P (1844)] eliminated ROUND 1
Whitelaw Reid [1 safety point, VP (1892)] eliminated ROUND 5

Joseph Robinson [1 safety point, VP (1928)]
William Taft [4 safety points, P (1908, 1912)]

Herman Talmadge [1 safety point, VP (1956)] eliminated ROUND 1
Daniel Tompkins [2 safety points, VP (1816, 1820)]

Voting:
Cast 10 eliminate votes as you wish between one to four people, save that you cannot give two people the same number of eliminate votes.

Cast 3 keep votes as you wish between one or two people.

Give one person a safety point, but you cannot give a safety point to someone in the same round you give them a keep vote.

Also, since this is the first round of a new tribe, cast one vote for immunity.

This round will be open for at least 24 hours.

Votes:
-4 Bentsen K(3+1)
+3 Blair E(3)
±0 Frémont E(6+2) K(2+3+3)
+2 Gerry E(2) K(2)
 9 Lane E(2+8) K(1)
19 Talmadge E (7+6+6)
+2 Taft E(1+1)
11 Polk E(4+10), K(3)

Safety:
2 Bentsen
1 Lodge
1 Macon
1 Polk
1 Robinson

Immunity:
1 Adams
3 Bentsen
1 Lodge
1 Polk

Results:
Lloyd Bentsen, the man who if we could have chosen the President and Vice President separately would have been half of the Bentsen-Bush ballot I would have cast in 1988, wins sole immunity which in his case will last two additional rounds.

Almost everybody had an opinion about the Pathfinder, John Frémont, but it averaged out to zero votes.

Herman Talmadge, the segreationist Governor of Georgia and only person to beat Zell Miller, the former Chief of Staff for Governor Lester Maddox, in an election gets segregated from this survivor along with a last vote elimination of Mister 54-40 or Fight, James Polk despite receiving a safety point he will never use and who could have used 3 keep votes instead.

Results:
A marble man received the most votes in this round.  Literally a marble man, as this Missourian is one of those honored in the National Statuary Hall in the Capitol.  Thus Francis Blair Jr.  For a while it looked the son-in-law of his fellow Missourian honoree, Thomas Hart Benton would be joining him, but John Frémont managed to scrape into third place this round.

The other to be eliminated is Joseph Lane, the first governor of the Territory of Oregon, the first Senior Senator from the State of Oregon, and the running mate of John Breckenridge in the tumultuous election of 1860. Perhaps he would have lasted longer if he had been able to help Breckenridge carry Oregon. Nah.

Results:
First off, since there is a Charles Pinckney in this competition, but not in this tribe, I chose to discard the 6 votes that were cast for Charles Pinckney as invalid rather than as a vote for Thomas Pickney.  Had they been cast for just Pinckney, they would have counted as there is just one Pinckney in this tribe.
With 10 votes, the Pathfinder, John C. Frémont has at last found the way out of this tribe, being the first to be eliminated this round.

While there were a total of 9 votes totaled for Pinckneys in this round, only 3 of them were cast for the Pinckney actually in this tribe, so Thomas is safe for this round.
With 8 votes, Nathaniel Macon of North Carolina is the second eliminatee this round.  He was the choice of Virginia's electors to be VP in 1824, but the voters here apparently thought he was a ham.
