Clearly, Kerry will win all of the rest and then win Ohio because the officials realized that the other provisional ballots really were supposed to go for Kerry.

There would have to be more than 118,000 valid ballots and they'd all have to be for Kerry.

Final election totals are here:  (I assume that since they finally updated, this is the final total)

http://election.sos.state.oh.us/results/RaceDetail.aspx?race=PP

Statewide Totals
Bush, George W.  Republican  2,858,727  50.82%
Kerry, John F.  Democratic  2,739,952  48.70%
Badnarik, Michael   14,695  0.26%
Peroutka, Michael Anthony   11,907  0.21%
Cobb, David Keith-WI   186  0.00%
Schriner, Joe -WI   114  0.00%
Harris, James -WI   22  0.00%
Duncan, Richard A.-WI   16  0.00%
Zych, Thomas F.-WI   10  0.00%
Parker, John T.-WI   2  0.00%
Precincts Reporting: 100.00%  5,625,631

Margin is 118,775 votes or 2.12% according to the SOS here.

No counties switched hands after the additional ballot count.

The three closest margins in counties in Ohio were:

Montgomery County (Dayton, Ohio) - Kerry by 1.63% or 4,616 votes

Stark County (Canton, Ohio) - Kerry by 1.66% or 3,127 votes

Clark County (Springfield, Ohio) - Bush by 2.04% or 1,404 votes
(I wonder if the Guardian had something to do with this.  Smiley )

I know, I was joking.

Well, at least Ohio is now closer than Pennsylvania, for all those Republicans who were touting the fact that Pennsylvania was closer.

Whew! That's a relief!

Ha. Hey, we'll take whatever we can get.

If only Pennsylvania and Ohio had merged into one state, Kerry would have pulled it out with the provisional ballots, after initially trailling. That comforts me.

I think it is only fair to include West Virginia and/or Indiana in Senator Nym90's new super-state, in which case Bush wins again.
