I suppose I'd vote for him over any given GOPher or Dem, but he also has done a lot more harm than good for the liberty movement by associating it with conspiratards.

I can't decide if he's a plant or what, but something isn't quite right about the guy. Still quite entertaining and occasionally informative though. I especially liked that time he went out dressed in face paint.

AJ is completely insane. I'm embarrassed to admit I listened to him at all, years ago. Any time I hear him nowadays I noticed that he seems to have become progressively more delusional. Just like the whole conspiracy/truther movement as whole, he's dogmatic, intolerant of debate and filled with a sort of messianic egoism about the truth of his message that I find unnerving. The message by the way is largely untrue or at least a gross misinterpretation of history.

He's come across as kinda of kooky sometimes but I generally agree with his core populist politcal message of anti-globalism and anti-police state.

I don't think he actually believes most of what he says. Alex Jones makes his living in a niche market, and I believe that he is consciously aware of that. Does anyone really believe that if Ron Paul were elected President in 2012 that Alex Jones wouldn't find some way to incorporate him into his giant globalist conspiracy? At best Alex Jones is a low grade fiction writer and shouldn't be taken anymore seriously than such.
