Well, I want to say two things.
First of all, why not?
Second of all, it would be better for our federal government budget to stop constant name changes of the executive building by each new Secretary. I mean, come on, people, think about all the money wasted by changing all the papers, charts, signs, informations etc. etc.

I'm worried about supporting this because there's no building or memorial garden named after me. I'll mull this over.

I assume this means you'll also support HappyWarriors bill to rename those airports after Atlasians?

I think we shouldn't name the DoEA after someone who will, inevitably, return to run that Department. Name it after a departed Atlasian, like Colin.

I don't see what's the big deal with that. Using that standard, we'd also have to pick out a different Atlasian for RG and SoFE.

Well, my intention was to provide names after either departed or inactive Atlasians indeed.
AndrewCT was in office for short time, but now, he's with angels. PS departed and few can deny how great GM he was. Peter departed, I guess, as well and was longtime AG. Fritz is in game, but not as active politician, and he buildt the entire RG institution, so deserved this honor. Both Gustaf and Jedi sucks, so Joe Arpaio is still better
. Teddy returned, but he was outstanding SoFE.
Ok, if we're talking about DoEA HQ name, I can change to Colin or some other departed figure experienced on foreign affairs field.

I think the Senate has more interesting things to do than rename buildings.

Agreed. And also, like Bgwah said, we'd be taking away a longtime tradition of Secretary's naming their own buildings.

Oh no, a withdrawal.
A hate these.
Senators have 72 hours to assume sponsorship. Tabling it is quicker, if the Senators get off their asses and vote quickly, which isn't guarranteed.

So I can assume sponsorship ? Why not, let's give it a chance.
Yes, I know how all the Rowans of the Senate will react : "OMG you're delaying the Senate's work for some useless bill while there is so much srs bsness to do !". Well, this time I'll be on the wrong side.

Any and all Senators who do not vote will be considered to have abstained. If a motion to assume sponsorship is rejected, the legislation shall be withdrawn from the Senate floor.

I am concerned that it would be confusing especially to new citizens to have buildings named after active Atlasians who are not heading those departments.
