Will America elect another Unitarian or a Jew first?

Keep in mind that America has elected three Unitarian Presidents - John Adams, John Q. Adams,  and William Taft, and that Thomas Jefferson's ideology was similar to that of Unitarians. Also, Millard Fillmore (who was thrust into office via a death instead of elected to office) was Unitarian. The most recent Unitarian presidential nominee from a major party was Adlai Stevenson (1952 and 1956).

America has elected no Jewish President and no major party has nominated a Jew at the top of the ticket.

A Jew.

As for nominating a Jew, John Kerry doesn't count unless one uses the criteria of "Jewishness" defined in the Nuremberg Laws. Jews just have too much political talent to be ignored.

(Strictly speaking, though, all Jews are small-u unitarians).

Why would John Kerry count anyway? He's Roman Catholic.

Kerry's father was born Jewish
George Allen might be president some day, his mother is Jewish.
It would help if a Jewish person actually ran for president, say like in the GOP primary. Come on down Eric Cantor!  Its your time!

Kerry's father was Jewish, but Kerry himself was Catholic. Therefore, Kerry does not count as a Jewish nominee.
Allen's mother is Jewish, but Allen himself is Presbyterian. Therefore, Allen would not count as a Jewish President if elected.
The only person you listed who would be considered a Jewish President is Cantor.

Suprisingly, the first president of Jewish decent to be nominated by a major party was Barry Goldwater (Goldhausser) even though he himself was a lapsed Episcopalian.

Unitarians do not have the same political power they did in the early 19th century. Americans will likely elect a Jew first.

How would it be bad if someone from the Assemblies of God were president? They almost got the VP spot and have held cabinet level positions  in the Reagan and Bush 43 administrations.
