After freeing the colonies, democratic rebels decide to liberate the motherland from the rule of the king, and somehow, succeed, though, it though this was not completed until 1801.

Rules:

Info: The House of Lords was replaced with an unelected Senate, appointed partly by the President and partly by the various Counties. You can change this if you change the constitution.

All currently living royals as of 1801 are barred from ever being President. However, any born after 1801 are born into a Republican country and are thus not royals, they hence may serve.

Presidents are elected for 7 year terms, with no restrictions on how many terms they can serve. They must be male, non-catholic, over 35, and own a minimum wealth. These things can be changed by changing the constitution.

At this time, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland remain part of "The Commonwealth of the British Islands" Any changes to these member nations or the name of the CBI should be noted.

In the beginning there is only one party, the Whigs, as the Tories, at least initially, refuse to co-operate.

Monarchist revivals are not permitted within England. The nation must always contain England (or the bulk thereof)

There is no "Vice Presidency" though the job of Chancellor and Home minister are both critical, but at this time, the three do not yet run as a "ticket". You can however make that a change, and from that point on, all tickets must contain three names.

There will never be a two-man ticket. It's 1 or 3, and once someone changes it to 3, it stays 3.

Let at least 2 other people post before you post again. (You are allowed to post after just 1 other person, if 24 hours has passed)

Please include the date of the natural term end. For example, my first President was elected in 1801 so his term naturally ends in 1808. This way people don't get confused over any changes to term length. Terms can end un-naturally (constitutional change, death, etc)
