Id give her a C. She seems like a normal, loving mom, though she doesnt fit the mold of a first lady. For example, when Laura Bush visited a country, she would skip down the stairs in a pantsuit, dressed formally for the event. To Mrs Obama, a pair of shorts and a tshirt is ok. So all-in-all, I like her, and respect her, but I wish she would act a little more formal.

She's pretty good. Not sure how to grade a First Lady...but there are a lot of things about her that are certainly positive in many respects.

I like her.  But I also really liked Laura Bush...  Even if she had to sneak a smoke to calm down after some of her husbands more interesting slips-of-tongue.

Nothing extremely notable that makes me want to give her an A.  I do think she is a good role model as a Mother though.  She sounds smart and articulate, and appears to have conviction in her beliefs.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure her motorcade coming through town caused me to have to sit in standstill traffic for an hour, so Epic Fail. Take a helicopter, woman!

Not sure how to grade a first lady.  She will be in Cedar Falls on May 7 giving a commencement speech to the current crop of UNI grads, so I'll give her an A just for the hell of it.

Kinda like telling people who can only dream of it to "head on down to Disney World" while you jet around the world with absolutely no idea that most of us can't just afford spur of the moment trips to Florida... is grating as well.

The difference is that Michelle didn't grow up in a wealthy, silver spoon home.  I'm sure she probably appreciates the jetting around the world in luxury more than just about anybody.

And this isn't some pro Obama/anti Bush thing.  As I already stated... I really liked Laura Bush.  If there is one thing Bush did right, it was in finding a great wife.
