Harry, that makes no sense at all.  By the time tax dollars are funneled through the state bureaucracy, there will be fewer dollars returned to the people of Alabama than was taken from them in the first place.  The same applies to the rest of the country.

I am against this bill.  If an emergency tax hike is needed, and soome senators are holding grudges against other senators, the needed tax hike will not be passed.

I'd rather trim the deficit by going back to the tax system that was in place during an economic boom than by gutting domestic programs that help working people.

Those domestic programs help no one but bureucrats.
