I read it and honestly, for wormy's standards didn't find it that stupid.

Not saying a lot, of course.

That article made me want to throw-up.  Can anyone say "brash ignorance"?

I mean, since the Senate's only self-described socalist is from Vermont I guess that makes socialism a political movement rooted in the history of the Northeast, no?

#absurd

You seem to have attempted to use a hashtag. Hashtags do not work there. You may be looking for Twitter.

Xahar wants to be the new Al soooo badly you can almost see it.

Some kids want to be like Justin Bieber. Some kids want to be like Lindsay Lohan. So there may be a kid who want to be like Al.

Don't destroy dreams.

It has accurate parts, and parts too dumb to not destroy the value of the remainder.

America is a republic and not a democracy. There are limits on power. The majority doesn't always rule.

This idiotic distinction between "republic" and "democracy" is an exclusively American thing. It also unfortunately shows that you don't know the meaning of the words.

Got to give credit where credit is due...

Walter Mondale had a 12 point lead on Ronnie in January 1980 Gallup.  The weak challenger has to lead at some point, better it be early and within the MOE.

Since Mondale was not running in 1980, I kind of doubt it.

Obama numbers go down.  Bad

Obama numbers go up.  Good

Remarkable analysis.  I never thought of it like that before.

I consider this a success because it got Joe to read something in the Euro 2012 thread.

Of course, it is sad that Joe continues with his vendetta against me by posting this obvious attack here.

Yeah, I noticed that you do that a lot. Seems like something the German national team did in their 2002 World Cup Qualifying Playoff, you know?

J. J.'s attempted "retort" makes the original all the better:

J.J., I wanted to congratulate you on your assignment "A Typical Day In My Life". I think you did a superb job with it. So good that I think I'll share it with everyone else.

Hey, the flooding was really bad in our area...but it wasn't bad anywhere near J.J. except under a few underpasses.

Some have claimed that my unique perspective on things from politics to pop culture make me "America"....

Don't be so gullible, McFly...it's just those who hate any idea or concept are attempting to make you the poster child for said idea or concept.  To those who hate America, you are the poster child for America.  For those who hate the GOP, you are made out to be the poster child for the GOP.

and it's not that they hate you, you're very likeable, it's just that they find you to be a rube...therefore it's easy for them to make a strawman argument by adopting you as the poster child.

so my advice to you is turn the tables on them and charge a quarter for each usage

You gotta be fucking kidding me.

You know that I'll never get the last seventeen seconds of my life back.  I might as well have set the clock forward that amount of time.

Seriously, I clicked on your link expecting to see something interesting.  I guess I could see maybe this being a post in an extant thread about movies, or skateboards, or ennui, or even politics, but this, in your considered opinion, merited its own thread?

Socially conservative societies will tend towards demographic growth, while socially liberal societies will tend towards demographic decline. As a result, over time, the pool of immigrants will be more socially conservative every generation. We are witnessing, more or less, demographic transformation occuring in Israel and Turkey right now as the more socially conservative religious elements reproduce faster than secular folk.

On life, the pro-life either win by winning, or win by losing. A research study in Australian demonstrated that genetics plays a role in shaping ones attitude towards abortion. Those with genes more favorable to abortion will, eventually, abort themselves out of the gene pool. As long as abortion is legal, the genetic propensity towards being pro-life will increase every generation.

Your hypothesis relies on Darwinian natural selection to be true, you know.
