Your past history of overreacting to others reactions suggested otherwise.

Erm, despite defending RP2012, you've immediately attributed them in relation to my comments to you, and then we have this.

Not only am I rendered speechless from the sheer amount of irony packed into your accusation, this borderline squabble is undignified and painful to be involved in. So, yeah.

I never mentioned you by name, not today at least. Though you yourself have admitted that our past disagreements can fit into that category.

Your really this upset over something that wasn't particularly intended towards you? I love this forum too, but I don't take it this seriously.

Agreed, Sanchez is one of those people where you typically don't feel the urge to click 'Show' on his posts.

By posting in this thread, both of you just negated your own statements.

Who's threatening anyone? I was simply saying if his head were to explode, that I would like to see it.

(i was gonna post the one from Scanners but i didn't wanna get death points)

I just stumbled into this awful conversation, but I'm gonna hope to be able to say something of value regarding it. Yeah, you just said that not only would you like to see someone's head explode, but as well you wish it would happen. "Threat" or not, that's not a wise thing to say. I'm not gonna attempt to police you young'uns and say what you can & can't say, but saying something like that does make you a dick.

You all know I was trolling right? I really, really do not care about that, but it was quite amusing last night.

OK, so I made a sexist joke about BeccaM that was over the line. The joke was that women are viewed as nagging and unintelligent. Was it on Daniel Tosh levels? I don't think so, but since so many of you, including some friends of mine, took me seriously (for once), I am offering a semi serious apology.

I posted this straight to the deluge to make your jobs easier.

The problem is not a matter of taking you seriously or not, it's that you made a joke like that in the first place.

Huh

I don't understand why pro-lifers haven't given up. It will never happen.
A general ban on abortion won't, but a late-term ban enjoys considerable popular support.

Yes, it was incredibly popular with a minority of the voters tonight.

I actually don't believe that (but then I am not really a militant in the front of the line gay rights advocate, and I don't see the planet through a gay lens all the time either).   But Forum protocol and rules of the road and my personal views are not co-extensive - at all. But sure, given who I am, I make a juicy and near irresistible target on this one. Enjoy! Tongue

Rich gay man doesn't think Social Darwinism is as vile as homophobia? Wow shocker.
Not merely less vile. Though he's hardly alone, Social Darwinism is his preferred economic model. The  Republican Party's entire message is that rich people pay too much in taxes and that America should look more like The Hunger Games.

No, Memphis, I don't believe the rich pay too much taxes. Go find where I ever posted that. Dare ya!  Your attempts to box me in to your little paradigms of choice are wholly futile.

I believe you continually said "soaking the rich won't balance the budget" when it absolutely can when coupled with a carbon tax and bending the cost curve or an optimal taxation system. You also go out of your way to complain about the salaries of public employees like krazen does. You act as if your views are different because they're polite and emanate from the beholder of a JD who graduated from UChicago. You aren't fooling anyone.

I'm happy you have an immigrant friend from Mexico and aren't a racist but you are an ignoramus about issues of class in America. Your posts are a constant indication that you've had no real experience with poverty or being working class. Also, your views on work are strange and perhaps stem from your "yankee" upbringing or at least an antiquated notion that persists in this nation rooted in the protestant reformation. What the heck is inherently desirable about wage labor? We work out of necessity not because it is enjoyable. I'm just thankful that my chief hobby and prospective form of employment intersect.

Take a few bong-loads and soak up your privilege. I'm the one who attends knock-off UChicago and has to sob. I'm also out of weed. Sad
