I'm not a Muslim woman so I can't possibly answer this question. I do, however, love your ability to construct hypotheticals imagining yourself in different situations where somehow nothing about you changes at all.

My side doesn't really exist as an organized political or ideological structure in the United States, even as a notable third party, so that's a bit frustrating.

Thank God for that.

Not watching this as a protest to the exclusion of Gary Johnson.

You go ahead with that. I'm sure Lauer has been shaken to the core, and has taken to weeping into one of his paychecks for his $25 million salary. I assume you will register your strong and principled objection into your non-existent Nielsen monitoring box.

An oldie but a goodie:

Thomas from NJ at least takes his religion seriously, which is more than you can say of BRTD, who goes to church for the beer and CHRISTIAN HARDCORE EMOVIOLENCE

It wouldn't be such a tempting target if he didn't bring it up so much. But his religion is one of his favorite topics, up there with Ingress, hardcore shows, and, uh, women's feet, so you can't help but hit him over the head with it whenever the opportunity arises.

Let's not even try to pretend that Thomas from NJ is a better poster than BRTD, of course.

The politically correct term is less bad, so let's use that and annoy both of them with political correctness.

Not surprising at all that Joe Republic doesn't like kids and feels awkward around them. Can't use mean spirited sarcasm and they don't care if you think you're so much smarter and better than everyone else.

Whenever I hear this line I always think enviously about how cute and clever it must sound to people who've never gone to bed hungry.

Beet may have a gloomy perspective on politics (I do too actually these days), but BRTD, that does not mean Beet has mental health issues. It is not good to diagnosis folks based on what you read on the internet anyway in general.

L’exquisite Douleur/BRTD/Etc.,

This dedication thread comes from you to me because you are freaked out, and have expressed that on more than one thread, after I posted a link to RT video of Lee Camp and his program Redacted Tonight!

That’s funny.

And sad.

But, of course, L’exquisite Douleur/BRTD/Etc.…

There is major difference between you and I which makes me superior to you.

While you have been a member here since 2003, I have been here since 2008. Unlike you, I have never once created and posted an “Opinion of…” thread because—and this an important difference between us—I don’t lack confidence and self-respect to be spending years of my life attempting to possibly smear forum members, while trying to elicit other people’s support, on an anonymous Internet discussion website.

According to your profile page, you are 32 years old.

This is embarrassing for you.

I appreciate, and I am very happy, that I don’t have your life.

This is what I've been saying for a long time. Mexico is not really the problem - we can assimilate Hispanics - immigrants from Asia are far more dangerous to the cultural integrity of our society.

Says the so-called Asian who is also an immigrant

Popping back in just for a moment to say that it's interesting that BRTD's anti-Russian mania started when Putin started a so far completely ineffectual attempt to influence an election in the country BRTD lives in, rather than in 2012, with the (effectual) 'foreign agents' law, or 2013, with the (effectual) anti-LGBT law, or 2014, with the (effectual) Crimean annexation and Donbas invasion.

I did take my ironic primary support for TRUMP during the primaries over to Facebook and several humourless pricks did delete me for it.

I'm sure that anyone reading those posts today would be positively bowled over by your wit and hilarity.

I'd love to read his commentary on the debates between Romney and Obama. I bet the words "lol" and "douche" and the phrase "the cold war is over" somehow managed to make into one post.

Beautiful

To draw an embarrassing but accurate parallel: the "sock" is the Forum equivalent of an undocumented immigrant.

No, the sock is the forum equivalent of a criminal who flees to Mexico to escape getting caught.

Wouldn't it be more like an escaped fugitive who takes on a new identity to live a new prison-free life (within same country)? A criminal fleeing to Mexico implies they are running away from the forum, not returning.

I'm excited to see someone with activity in this position--Truman has done everything in this game well and active--but it's very important that we ask The Important Questions here:

1. In both forms, I have seen most people who take this position proceed to apparently forget that they were appointed. Tongue What are your plans to make the position of SoI relevant again?

2. The regional governments--particularly the ones I'm not in Wink--have been struggling to be active. What are your plans to use this role to foster strong regions and increased participation in the game?

3. With the recent executive order--by you, ironically--the office of AG was moved into here. This adds more responsibility to the office. All of us who were around then surely remember Al going on witch hunts to attack his political enemies. Recently you accused dfw, Santander, and--of all people--Ted Bessell of a felony for a heat-of-the-moment "testimony" by Jimmie that was later tracked back on. Can you promise to, in the future, avoid partisanship, reserve judgement, serve the role with transparency, fairness, and honesty, and, most vitally, not try to ban active participants from the game for a Deeply Disturbing thread?

(I know I'm not a Senator, but I think being the last full President and Speaker gives me the right to ask questions--especially these which I think anyone would want to know the answer to.)

Yes, but Atlasians aren't known for their common sense.

You can't quote yourself here. That's garbage!
