I think ND's 3-Democrat delegation for 18 years was just a coincidence.

The Democrats don't have a single statewide office there; thats definitely not good for recruitment in future elections.

The Democrats don't have a single statewide office there; thats definitely not good for recruitment in future elections.

It was vestigial of a time around the early 1980s where Democrats did unusually well in ND, holding many statewide offices that they had never held before or since. Conrad, Dorgan and Pomeroy each held a statewide office in this era.
