Gephardt will win it unless Dean has won almost all the ones before it.

I don't know too much about Michigan politics, but I would imagine Michigan would swing to Gephardt.

Gephardt should have a good chance here because of the fact that the union vote is very strong in Michigan.

Gephardt will win it IF HE IS STILL AROUND, otherwise Dean takes it.

mICHIGAN IS labor powered. One of the unions stronghold states. And as you know Gephardt have 6 million to 6.3 million labor supporters in the US. Michigan is also home to the Teamsters and United Autoworkers Union. A michigan UAW endorement whould help gephardt a lot. And Winning Michigan is the 2nd most importent state for gephardt. However Dean Has the SEIU and AFSCME endorsements. whitch could make it diffucult for gephardt to win mICHigan

My predidctions.

Gephardt-32%

Dean-24%
clark12%
Lieberman11%
Edwards5%
Kuchinich5%

I did not includ e the other candidates because I think  they will drop out before michIGAN

not that it matters but Sharpton is in till the end.  he wants a convention speech, boosts him for speaking fees later and also read an article somewhere that he is living it up on funds raised, so why wouldn't he stick around?

Yeah, Sharpton would be a spoiler in a few major districts in the Lower Penninsula, but not at all  in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Nader would be the spoiler in the entire State of Michigan. Not that he'd win the State, but he'd take votes away from the Democrats.

I thought only the Iowa UAW has endorsed Gephardt not the entire organization, could be wrong, but thought that was the news when Dean got the 2 big service unions.

Maybe if Kerry survived NH.

New polls out of NH have Dean ahead either 45-13 ARG poll or Zogby one of 42-12

I agree, no way Kerry gets 38% in Michigan even if he is still in the race, and he'll probably drop out after NH anyway.
