I see 6 nays, therefore this bill is failing. Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

Aye

Senators, however, have up to 7 days to vote.  Not 24 hours.  They have 24 hours from their vote to change it.  Once the 24 hour period after the 6th vote in favor or against has been passed, then the voting can be cut off early.

You guys wonder why nothing got done when I was PPT?  It's because the rules suck.  And I didn't feel like saying "to hell with the OSPR!"
Wink

Nay, by the way.

Well first off you had the wrong OSPR. Tongue Don't feel bad Dallas did it again a few days ago.

There is actually a process for saying "to hell with the OSPR", its I beleive Section 8.

Well, not really.  Section 8 gives you certain rights to say to hell with the OSPR... but it requires the approval of the VP and a 2/3 vote, not including you, to do so... and then on top of that... it gives you no right to mess with article 5, which deals with voting on legislation.

But yeah, I think I always put the deadline in the announcements.  It gives people a quick glance when they're going to vote.

As for seven days... at least 6 senators have to vote the same way before you can cut short the seven days... at that point it's 24 hours.  If the total is 5-4.. you have to wait out the full 7 days.

Didn't say it was great process, just saying one existed. We need to improve Section 5 in my opinion. A lot of it is a ridiculous time waist.

Our numbers are dwindling. Our words are confused.
Some of them have been twisted by the enemy
until they can no longer be recognized.

Now what is wrong, or false, in what we have said?
Just some parts, or everything?
On whom can we still rely? Are we survivors, cast
away by the current? Will we be left behind,
no longer understanding anyone and being understood by no one?
Must we rely on luck?

This is what you ask. Expect
no answer but your own.
