Funnily enough, Lewis has held Iowa the entire game, and, although I'm too lazy to check, I don't believe it was ever even attacked prior to this.

Goes to show what a bad decision making Des Moines the capital of your dictatorship is Tongue

So, I guess IL-IA do or die and if that fails then WI-IA do or die.

Attacks

Illinois invades Iowa (Lewis Trondheim) with 5 battalions available to attack, while 1 battalion will defend.

Gustaf [5] rolls 3 dice:   [4] [3] [2]
Lewis Trondheim [1] rolls 1 die:   [5]
Gustaf loses 1 battalion

Gustaf [4] rolls 3 dice:   [4] [2] [1]
Lewis Trondheim [1] rolls 1 die:   [4]
Gustaf loses 1 battalion

Gustaf [3] rolls 3 dice:   [6] [6] [1]
Lewis Trondheim [1] rolls 1 die:   [4]
Lewis Trondheim loses 1 battalion

Gustaf conquers Iowa and places 3 battalions there, leaving 1 behind in Illinois.

----------

* Gustaf has taken control of the Midwest region *

----------

* Lewis Trondheim has been destroyed *

Congratulations Gustaf!

Gotta say, there was a point in the game where I thought you were causing yourself to lose by not being more aggressive, but everyone else self-destructed pretty well. Sorry for doubting you. Tongue

Can I reserve a spot in the next game? I meant to sign up for this one, and before that for game VII, but both times the game had started without me.

Thanks for the congrats everyone! It was a good game.

I must have beaten Fezzy in the overall standing with this victory, right?

Since no one bothered to check I had to be a narcissist and do it myself:

Game I - I can't find this one but I think Jas won it over Fezzy?
Game II - Gustaf
Game III - Gustaf
Game IV - Fezzy
Game V - Fezzy
Game VI - Gustaf
Game VII - Bacon King
Game VIII - Gustaf

It should be noted that me and Fezzy has a bit of a Federer v Nadal thing going, in that I think we only met once and he won that one (although that was Lewis' fault...)

Yep - fezzy would get his revenge in the game BK won.

Think I came second a couple of times as well - Game II and III anyway. (Game II's undoing I still remember quite clearly.)

Yes, I also recall you being close a couple of times. And I think I especially remember that weird time that MaC (was it?) did you in by crazy moves which gave me victory.

Sure, though as per usual there's going be to a break before the next game for me to recharge my batteries.

Although... BK, does that offer to host the next game still stand?

Sweet!  Do you need me to send you any info?  Though I guess you could just copy the way I did it.  Or better yet, just do it any way you want.  Smiley

I think for simplicity's sake I'll keep everything the same; I just have a few questions.

Are all the card's urls are like this?

Code:
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o107/JoeRepublic/New%20RISK%20Cards/(state abbreviation goes here).png

How about the wildcards?

And also, is there a way to add the yellow and orange colors in the electoral college calculator itself or do I need to manually chane the colors in the image link? I've figured out yellow is 4 and orange is 5.

But yeah, lemme post a new signup thread.

I did not. Josh destroyed you on the second turn. Grin

And there is one post in that thread that I actually remember even though I forgot all about this game.

NO NO NO

3 + 3 = 5

YOU STUPID RETHUGLICAN

*ahem*  Yes, you would be correct.  Apologies. Embarrassed

Yep, all the state cards are the same principle.  The wildcards are simply:

Code:
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o107/JoeRepublic/New%20RISK%20Cards/wildcard.png

And also, is there a way to add the yellow and orange colors in the electoral college calculator itself or do I need to manually chane the colors in the image link? I've figured out yellow is 4 and orange is 5.

No, you have to manually change the image links.  I never used the calculator, other than to generate the initial code.  The map is 1956 (no AK and HI).

Thanks, btw. Smiley
