FYI, she resigned due to (provable) allegations of corruption and embezzlement.  Probably the best mayor of Baltimore in my adult life, though.  She may have been a crook but at least sh**t got done in Baltimore for once.  (I supported Keiffer Mitchell in that primary, though I couldn't vote as an independent.)

BS, the Italian PCI basically wanted to establish a Eastern Europe-like regime in Italy. I don't think you could seriously support it as soon as 1948.
