Aren't we all glad this man is fighting for freedom?

Yes, very glad. Though I'm not surprised the freedom haters in this thread have joined the campaign to disparage and smear him.

Are you claiming that WikiLeaks does not have this contract and that this was a lie?

No Gustaf, I, a freedom hater, clearly made it up to make fun of this great man.  I also own Wired magazine, a notorious freedom hating rag.

This post will be much more amusing when it is non-sarcastically coming from Lief. So that's what I'm looking forward to. Smiley

No, I am not.

An organization like Wikileaks couldn't exist without a degree of secrecy and lack of transparency, because the entire purpose of Wikileaks is to allow people to leak things confidentially so that they're not arrested and prosecuted. There's nothing hypocritical about this.

So...you don't think an organization like the United States of America needs "a degree of secrecy and lack of transparency"?

I mean, Wikileaks is based on the idea that no secrecy should exist and everything should be transparent. Why should they be the exception?

Assange has explicitly stated that the purpose of Wikileaks is not to create a world with no secrecy:

And all the things they have leaked have been about abuses?
