By November 2012, unemployment lowers to 6%, and gas prices are below $2 a gallon. The Republican party nominates Sarah Palin, who makes several gaffes during the debates and on the campaign trail, at least one being ambiguously racist. In late October, evidence is uncovered that she has been cheating on Mr. Palin, and a divorce by mid-November seems to be in the works.

Morning in America on steroids leaves Palin with the largest EV deficit in history....Republican turnout is abysmal and Obama gets 20% of the Republican vote nationally..Even Mitch McConnell votes for Obama....

Obama/Biden: 61.9%  535 EV
Palin/Boring: 34.2%      3 EV
Libertarian:   2.5%

Palin wins Wyoming by 487 votes after a manual recount.

In the Senate Democrats successfully defend all their seats (A blade of grass defeats Rick Berg) and pick up Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, Massachusetts and Nevada. They also win back the House with a 45 seat gain.
