So yeah, as the title says, screw (not the other word I want to use but I really don't feel like saying since I don't want to get hit for points) most people. If they call you (me) and need a ride when they are so drunk downtwon) you'll come pick them up, but you call everyone, including your ex who you've picked up at 3:30 (about an hour and a half later then you'd call them) to pick you up and you have to walk an hour and a half home drunk. So, it helps me realize that mostly everyone doesn't really give a crap about you. So yeah for being the nice guy, the only person I really am not mad at is my ex, who had no idea I'd be out, but I called anway in the vain idea that she'd return the vavor and pick em up. So my lesson kiddies is that you really can't trust anyone, yay for a $25 dollar parking fine for tomorrow, but at least I'm not stupid (not the word I wanted to use) enough to drive home!

Does Wisconsin have one of these absurd "public intoxication" laws that could have caused problems on your 90 min. walk home?

Probably, I don't really know right now, luckily I am only about a 5 min drive away from home from where the bars are and it's a back road that actually has partial road construction right now. And hey, I can I'm actually really drunk right now but I'm never drunk enough to have a hangover or to not correct what I type no matter how much I drink!

That's why I typically avoid associating with regular drinkers. While there are of course exceptions, I find that most of them are not paragons of reliability.

I refuse to take one of those drunk taxis.  I've only taken a taxi once, and that was when it was raining and I had to get from one end of Mt. Pleasant to the other to pick up my car.

Cool. There's other options, too. Don't get drunk. Don't get drunk for away from home. Get drunk with your friends so that everyone has the same situation. Have a designated driver. Drive drunk. Walk. Get better friends. Anything other than saying screw most people. It isn't anyone else's fault.

Just live closer to downtown and walk. That's what I did. I never had to worry about getting home, unlike some of my friends. Never rely on others.

Not really the same thing (I was sober) but public transit let me down and forced me into an hour fifteen minute walk home because I was too cheap to do the $15 or whatever for a taxi.

In Prague I walked around drunk by myself at night for hours at a time all the time! Was it terrifying? Yes. But sometimes you don't want to wait half an hour for the night tram to come.

Walking around drunk can also be a rather enjoyable activity.

Normally I'm the DD.  If I drink, it's one drink at a bar so I can drive home, or in my apartment.

So yeah, as the title says, screw most people....

according to Seinfeld, 95% arent even dateable, much less screwable.

...but at least I'm not stupid (not the word I wanted to use) enough to drive home!

also, according to Seinfeld, alcohol explains how the 95% is getting laid.
