I wouldn't really count Dole, Guiliani, Ford, and Eisenhower as Liberal Republicans, though by today's standards they probably would be. Actually, when Ford took office and chose Rockefeller, they said that the North-Eastern Liberal Rockefeller would balance out the mid-western Conservative Ford.

I'm not saying they're liberal Republicans or conservative Democrats, merely the person liberal Republicans or conservative Democrats rallied behind any given election.

Okay, now I get it. Do we just put down who we prefer, who we think its better, what?

If you were given a ballot with these choices, how would you rank them as if it were a real election?  It's their versions from the elections they've been transported from; they've been placed in reverse chronological order so you should be able to figure that out.

Is 1976 George Wallace or Carter? And if Wallace, then who is it for 1972? And if Humphrey, then who is it for 1968?
