With a few more states left to update the 2004 results it is clear Bush received over 62 million votes!  He received  almost 25% more votes that the previous record (Gore's 50 million in 2000).

However, the Press continues to use older numbers (CNN has Bush with 60 million votes).

The real numbers don't mean much, since the population has grown. Sooner or later, someone was going to break the record.

Previous Record = +/- 54 million (Reagan 1984)
