I wouldn't automatically designate a Cuomo as someone with national ambitions, plus he'd be a one-termer.

FDR was a one-termer. So was Bush Jr (okay, bad example), and JFK was a one-termer in the senate.

Obama was a one-termer in the senate, too.

Anyway,

Democrats:
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York
Gov. Deval Patrick, Massachusetts
Fmr. Sen. Russ Feingold, Wisconsin
Frm. Gov. Tim Kaine, Virginia
Gov. Peter Shumlin, Vermont
Sen. Mark Warner, Virginia
Gov. John Lynch, New Hampshire
Gov. Brian Schweitzer, Montana
Sen. Michael Bennett, Colorado
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, New York

Republicans
Sen. Scott Brown, Massachusetts
Gov. Bobby Jindal, Louisiana
Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin, Alaska
Fmr. Gov. Scott Walker, Wisconsin (Walker will be a former governor after losing reelection in 2014)
Gov. Susan Martinez, New Mexico
Gov. Mitch Daniels, Indiana
Gov. Chris Christie, New Jersey
Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida
Sen. Mark Kirk, Illinois
