Would be funny if a Republican won a special here and they ended up carving up a downstate Republican and an upstate Democrat.

I mean, maybe he was drunk or something? Assuming the picture is legit, that's the only way I could really see him making such a strange series of decisions here.

Link

WOLF BLITZER, CNN: "Have you ever taken a picture like this of yourself?"

REP. ANTHONY WEINER (D-NY): "I can tell you this, that there are -- I have photographs. I don't know what photographs are out there in the world of me.

That begs the question of why he would take a picture of his crotch.

There are new reasons to question whether Rep. Anthony Weiner sent DMs to young girls besides Gennette Nicole — and whether he sent Nicole more flirtatious DMs than just that one picture.

The other day, Tommy Christopher published an interesting article regarding two underage girls who had claimed to have incriminating DMs from Anthony Weiner. Christopher called the girls “Betty” and “Veronica” and said that they had admitted to him that they had lied. That may be . . . but there are some aspects of their claims (and those of their parents) that I think merit some examination.

wtf?

Let 2011 be henceforth known as the Year of Terrible Earthquakes & Congressmen from New York Distributing Shirtless Pictures of Themselves Via the Internet.

I hope to god Louise Slaughter isn't next.

Hopefully it turns out to be Gillibrand.

Charlie Rangel is still in Congress.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/rep-anthony-weiner-picture/story?id=13774605&page=2

Later in the month, Broussard received three, more graphic images from the address RockOh77@yahoo.com, which she said was Weiner's online alias.

A Google search for the "RockOh77" email address returns only one website – a profile for the user name on Invisible.ir, which is described as a web tool that allows "hiding your images from others." On the page are three previously-unseen thumbnail photos of a bare-chested man that appears to be Weiner.

On May 18, Broussard received an image from the RockOh77 account that shows a man's erect penis.

Breitbart's got the goods.

Oh no he flirted with women on the internet!

Uh, showing an unsolicited picture of penis is a little more than just flirting. Oh, and let's not forget the persistent lying about it.

And his usage of Congressional phone services for his soliciting.

Breitbart is throwing strikes today.

http://biggovernment.com/mbroussard/2011/06/06/my-story/

He was trying to get me to talk about myself sexually, and I said, straight up, I’m not an open book. I was real blunt. He would ask me weird things, like “Did you miss me?” I didn’t understand that–how could I miss someone I hadn’t met and didn’t know? What is there to miss about me if you don’t even know me?

Report: Huma Abedin sought advice from Hillary Clinton
Anthony Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, is reported to have sought advice from her boss and friend, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in the aftermath of the New York Democrat’s admission that he had online sexually charged relationships with other women even after they married last year.

Hahaha, Weiner might be trying to stick his ****** in a 17 year old.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/06/10/exclusive-weiners-messages-to-teenage-girl-in-delaware-draw-police-attention/

NEW CASTLE, Del. -- Police on Friday afternoon came to the home of a 17-year-old high school junior to ask her about direct online communications she has had with Rep. Anthony Weiner.

Sources close the student said the girl followed Weiner on Twitter after seeing him speak during a school trip to Washington on April 1. Weiner, after signing on to follow the girl's Twitter feed, direct-messaged the girl on April 13, the sources said, though it is not clear what other communication the two may have had between or after those dates.

That's a felony in Delaware.

Can we start talking about the special now?

Here's the GOP candidate.

This time around, there's little expectation of winning, and its downstate. So the fallout won't be as bad.

Technically, though, didn't the GOP win the  NY-29 'special'?

Here's the GOP candidate.

http://council.nyc.gov/d32/html/members/home.shtml

Why would he run? Assuming he even has interest in the seat, it'll just be gone in the redistricting anyway, so he'd have to resign his council seat for only 18 months in the House assuming he even wins. Not running means he can stay on the council. That's why there's not likely to be any heavy hitters running on either side, they're only going to be keeping the seat warm until its elimination.

The assumption is such is the case, yeah. But the NY GOP tends to go with the next in line guy regardless of how lousy a candidate that person is. This guy will get some name recognition obviously if he comes through. Youngest member of Congress and all.

If not him, they'll just get the guy from 2010 I suppose.

Krazen, do you know much about him other than that he may be the only Republican officeholder in the district and so logically could run? Individual city councilors in NY don't often attract attention.

Only that his wife is Jewish and he's from the Queens side of the district. I can't tell if he's Jewish himself, but he did go to Catholic School. He also tends to be a bit of a facebook/twitter loudmouth.

He had some odd idea about bike licensing.

Yep, Ulrich will be in for the special here.

I guess he does have an out if he wins....the Democrats will have to protect him to protect Hochul as well.

In New York, one does not get to declare he will run in a special Congressional election.  The parties nominate their candidates.  There is no primary.  So Ulrich may be in for nothing - and that's if Weiner resigns, which isn't guaranteed.

Is there anything to suggest that the party won't be nominating Ulrich?
